We booked this apartment many months ago. From beginning to end, our host was wonderfully responsive and friendly. As well, Caludia was amazing with her helpful hints and lovely personality. Our trip was enhanced by everyone at Manor House and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The apartment itself has the best location, world class views, privacy and space in the city, in our opinion. Five of us stayed in this rustic and historic apartment and felt privileged to do so. From the creaky floors (everyone on all floors should wear socks and step lightly:) to the lemon and camillia trees, we felt we were in a very special place. Make sure there is time between showers to give the water time to reheat. We had no trouble doing that with our group. Great omelettes, coffee and snacks a few doors down at the museum, perfect location for walking everywhere on both sides of the river. We fell in love with Porto and our stay in this apartment contributed in large part to these treasured memories. Thank you Alexandre, for sharing your home with us!

Although there was a misunderstanding over time of arrival one phone call had all that sorted in a couple of minutes. We were blown away by the view as soon as we walked into the apartment, it's an amazing location with commanding views over the river, the bridge and to the port producers' caves opposite. The garden was ideal for breakfast in the morning and to enjoy a sundowner in the evening, with a lemon tree for the G & T if required. The electric and gas heaters were perfectly adequate and warmed the rooms up quite quickly when the evenings were chilly. We didn't trouble the kitchen too much, eating all of our meals out. Some of the rooms have a bit of crumbling plaster but that just adds to the feeling of faded grandeur in an old but lovely building. We thoroughly enjoyed Porto and would recommend this apartment for the views alone.
