They stayed at the Manor House…

“Fantastic apartment, great host. No complaints – can’t recommend it enough.”

Dennis K., October 2011

“We were very glad we cancelled a reservation at a standard hotel to stay here in the Manor House. The photos are accurate, though the house is more spacious than it looks in the photos. The place feels brand new inside. The hilltop views over the river and Vila Nova de Gaia are spectacular. Our host, Alexandre, took excellent care of us, making sure we had what we needed, answering questions, and making reliable recommendations for good restaurants nearby.
We took the “Red Bus” tour of the city since we only had two days in town. It gave us a good overview of the sights and helped us get quickly from place to place. The layout and variety of plants in the gardens at the modern Serralves museum are very well done. Of course, we visited Gaia for a well-done tour and tasting at Taylor’s Port. We walked the city center extensively, stopping into many shops.
Our favorite restaurant was O Buraco, in fact it was so good we ate there both of our nights in town. The food was exceptional, the staff was like family, and it was very reasonably priced. The nearby Altenia cafe, on Aliados, was the perfect cafe for breakfast and mid-day break from walking. Great coffee, pastries and service in an Art-Deco building.
We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable vacation home in Porto, conveniently located near the top attractions.

“Muy bien situado, en el centro histórico de Porto, delante del ” Ponte Luis I”, vistas immejorables.
Muy, muy, muy amplio y bien equipado, reformado y limpio.
Las gaviotas volando del tejado al río, te hacen vivir más el encanto de Porto…..;-)
Alexandre, el propietario, disponible para todo lo que necesites.
Recomendable sin dudarlo.
